(Performance) Swamp Archive - A. Serkan Aka

Concept, design and instruments: A. Serkan Aka

Creation and performance: A. Serkan Aka, Basma Seiba, Selim Cizdan

Swamp Archive takes place within Sinop Harbour, in a setting that establishes a direct relationship with the sea. A. Serkan Aka’s water flutes, handmade from everyday and found materials, blend into the harbour’s own soundscape through the interaction of water, air, and breath. Approaching wetlands as sites of memory, transmission, and listening, the performance unfolds on the shores of the Black Sea, treating water not merely as a theme but as an active element in the creation of sound.
