(Performance) Kok aspan, Kara deniz - Anuar Duisenbinov

The audio walk with poet Änuar Düisenbinov explores the similarities and differences between land and sea. Coming from Kazakhstan, a country without access to the sea, the poet arrives in Türkiye, a country surrounded by seas. How do such vastly different landscapes shape our ways of thinking, our knowledge production, our languages, and our cultures?

Created in partnership with composer Rüstem Myrzahmetov, this work continues their spoken-word practice in the collaborative project “Балхаш снится” (“Lake Balkhash Comes to My Dreams”) and becomes a poetic reflection on Sinop, emerging from Anuar’s encounters with the city and guided by luck, intuition, and trust in the place and its spirits.
